W. Jakarta Commemorates World Hand Washing Day Campaign

PT PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyja), held world hand washing day campaign with theme 'Clean Hands Save Lives' at SDN Meruya Utara 12 and 13 Pagi, West Jakarta, Wednesday (10/17).

Hopefully it can be infected to our families thus awareness of healthy living in Jakarta residents can be formed

PT Palyja of Corporate Communications and Social Responsibility Division Head, Lydia Astriningworo disclosed that the event involved around 150 students was filled by various interesting activities, such as coloring contest, education how to wash hands well, educate rainwater utilization, health discussion and story telling.

"It is a form of our social care and responsibility in the field of education and health that aims to increase awareness of the importance of making simple behavioral changes such as hand washing," he expressed, Wednesday (10/17).

His party also invited schools to hold rainwater-harvesting programs as an alternative to groundwater. Thus, the use of groundwater could be reduced and could improve environmental sustainability.

"Hopefully it can be infected to our families thus awareness of healthy living in Jakarta residents can be formed," he said.
